I would have liked to been on that bus the day Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat. One rarely gets to witness such strength of character.

Elaborate if you will, please. Thank you.

If there was a particular moment when Homo Sapeins or some ancestral species made a leap into self-awae intelligence, I would like to see if I could pick up on what had changed--a close substitute would be to see exactly how language came about, suddenly or in bits.

Either one would stand to allow a greater understanding of just what self-awarenessa nd thoight are, and what their exact relationship to symbolizing behaviors might be--I have heard or read all the theories, but they are all, in a way, substitues for a chance to see what really might have happened (but there are other rewards in having to puzzle it together from what we observe with mind and language so well-establishedin our lives).

I casn't write off any of the big religious events--if they happned at all--and revealing as seeing the true events behind the Abrahamic-tradition stories might be--seeing the Enlightenment of the Buddha (though I am certainly not a Buddhist) would be closest, prhaps, to my first kind of choice.

In 1796 when Napoleon Bonaparte invaded the Papal State and occupied Rome. When more than 200,000 people witnessed the miracle of 101 images of Our Blessed Lady in Rome as well as 21 others in towns and cities of the province come miraculously to life eyes and lips moving as they shed tears. This was in response to Pope Pius VI being arrested and imprisoned in a French fortress in Valence. To me this would be an amazing sight to have been privy too.

The birth of Jesus. I bet all noise stopped and time stood still. The God of all creation entered the world. Wow! It would have been awesome. Have you ever touched an electric fence? (the kind to keep cattle enclosed?) That buzzing power would have electrified the air--no pain but, you would have felt just pure power that gained in magnitude until the birth. Angels were abounding everywhere. Wow!!

seems to me that many believers like your questions. Interesting that you have attracted them or was it something else brought them here. I think I will wait right here and watch what God is gonna do now, unless I can catch the next flight home and watch from there.

I've been pretty interested in the view from here for some time now. It is all about the view point. There is one that brings it all together, God is working unto this very day.

interesting,,,very interesting

I really liked yours!

OK Spooky - thanks for letting me think this over.
Being a believer, lover of God and his Creation, I wish I could have been witness to the link below that marked the beginning of time as we know it...

I never take for granted God's creativity when I see clouds in the light day, or stars at night - a beautiful mountain range or beach - or the change of seasons. (Not to mention the order you see in ant colonies).

And that He has created us in His image. It is way to awesome for me to even consider that He merely spoke it all into existence....

I would have liked to have lived the last three years of Jesus's life hear on earth and had a film crew, video tape recorders, lots of film, videos to record with, and tape cassett recorders to record His words and to be able to bring them to this century so that people could see and believe who He was with less confusion and more understanding of His truth. Just imagine what a more loving and happy world this would be to live in. People are striving to find what they can't find and that is love. Jesus was love and was the truth. But we can have that love if we just accept Jesus into our hearts and believe. It does bring peace of mind to a chaotic world we must live in and not be a part of.
