I have several job interviews and will be meeting with people so I need immediate relef to be able to pull this off. My anxiety is so bad now that it's becoming extremely hard to be around people. I rarely leave my house. I just feel panicked all of the time. I only hope that the remeron will give me some kind of relief soon. I really need to work again. Thank you for any advice you're willing to give.

I know how you feel. I used to take Remeron, but stopped because it made me feel groggy 24/7. Kinda hard to be nervous when you're falling asleep. In that way, it worked great. But I never noticed much of a change over time. I still have anxiety and still take pills for it...just now it's Trazodone, which makes me feel even worse.

I don't know what you believe, but I've found that prayer and meditation on the Holy Scriptures is the only thing that truly calms my nerves. Jesus Christ can make even the most stressful situation bearable. Believe me, He stopped me from committing suicide during Army Basic Combat Training. He's always there. Always.

Oh.....I hate to say that it can take several weeks before you feel the full effects of remeron. It can take a while to titrate into your system. Everyone is different though, so maybe it will be faster for you!

I would recommend speaking with your psychiatrist and asking about klonopin, or ativan to help with your anxiety until the Remeron is in full effect.

Good luck with your interviews!
