I think you have to buy the songs, and then download them. You do so by buying ANOTHER program, which holds all the songs. My friend has an ipod, that's why I know. I'm really sorry, I don't know the name of the program.

My daughter has one. She downloads music from a place like www.limewire.com it is free. Once it is downloaded to your computer files you hook your cable from the ipod to the computer and go through the steps. It downloads right to it. Good luck.

I see the person below said Limewire cost money. If you download their free version it does NOT cost you anything.

just hook up your cord to the computer and go to www. limewire.com and yes it cost 89 cents to 99
