Loving the world is time consuming. Yes it includes females. It also includes selfless acts. It does not always include the one you are with. Honest opinions please.

I'll keep checking in on the answers you get.I think that's one of hardest things to do.And damn near impossible.WE are supposed to love the world(and not just sexually)but just look here on this site and the things people say (myself included) and it's impossible to love everyone.Allot of people don't deserve love.I'll let God take care of that, because I know it's wrong, but I'm human.I can only do as much as I can to tolerate some people. But the Bible doesn't tell you that you have to love evil. And there's allot of that in this world. So,as I said in the beginning I'll keep checking in on the answers you get, maybe some different light will be shed for me to think about. But,I really don't believe that any human has that answer.Good question and God bless

If a person is truly a disciple of Christ then conflict in unavaoidable. That doesn't mean that there are not prudent guidelines that a person can implement to reduce conflict. It just means that a person should always be ready to proclaim the name of Jesus and to give an answer for the hope that is in them.

1 Peter 3:15 but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; 16 yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.

My husband and I are both Christians, and yes sometimes he gets to help people as a Christian duty. If you are truly doing it out of the kindness of your heart, with no other motives, your girl needs to see that, if she doesn't, maybe she is a little bit too jealous, and she needs to work on that herself. Don't worry if you are doing the right thing she will see that, however, if you are doing something only with the guise of a selfless act, to get the attention of some other chick watch out, you get what you deserve. By the way is this a marriage relationship or just a girlfriend?

Um, Jesus loved the world so much because he knew he was not an individual, but a vehical for the Divine One Being, in which we all arise. You on the other hand seem to be on a philandering, womanizing ego/god complex TRIP!!!! You asked for honest opinions.

wow, there are some SICK people here...

does it not occur to you that if whatever you think god is asking of you, has you effectively abandoning your spouse... don't you think something is wrong here?

what do you THINK "loving the world" means? what the hell do you think your talking about? why would "loving the world" cause any conflict within a personal relationship? seems to me that if your having this problem at all, then you have *COMPLETELY* misunderstood what it all means your supposed to do and feel.

When we love the way Jesus does it's always the right thing to do, if we're led by His Holy Spirit it is always good, right, clean, and pure. This is the way Jesus loves. Any other way is not from Him.
I would think your spouse would like to be treated nice and gentle. It will always include who you are with, and the one you are with will always be appropriate if you are doing things Gods' way.

A persons realtionship with another person must take a back seat when living for the Lord. Do all things for God first, and everything and everyone else comes in next. The person that you are in a relationship with should know up front where your devotion belongs first and formost. God comes first.

It doesn't take time to love people - hold them in the light of your heart. You can hold the whole world - even more - there in your heart, without limit.

You might seriously consider what the-one-you-are-with minds you doing. Are you willing to live with those kinds of restrictions? ('cause that kind of thing gets worse over time, not better...)

Peace to all,

:-)

The intimate love, which involves sex is quite different from the Unviersal Love.
So, you can love a man or a woman and Love the world and all people as well.

Get out your Bible, and open it to John 3:16. As you read this familiar Passage, insert the word Me in place of the words The World.

Now do you understand ?
