I went on a blind date on friday, and we had been there about 10 or 15 minutes when his phone rang, and he answered it. I thought it was really rude to answer your phone on a blind date, or any date for that matter. I mean, I was taking my time out to meet with him, and it's bad enough I had never met him. Then near the end of the meal he called his cousin for no reason! Needless to say I'm not planning on going out with this guy again, but am I being stuck up to think it's rude to answer your phone on a date, or was he in the wrong for answering it?

I mean, it's not like he said "hey, can I call you back," he talked to the person a good 2 minutes and I just sat there. It was really awkward for me.

Very rude, definitely. Had he excused himself, and answered his phone long enough to say, "I'm sorry, I can't talk right now," that would be acceptable. You can't say he shouldn't answer it at all, because you never know when it might be an emergency. But to MAKE a telephone call at the end of the meal to his cousin, that's heinous. Clearly he is not worth your time at all - keep looking!

Blind dates are certainly very awkward and that behavior certainly doesn't make it any easier. He should have given you his full attention.

You are right to just skip on this one and just move to the next one. Try not to get to in-a-twist about it though - you have to kiss alot of frogs before you find your prince.

That is very rude & I don't blame you for being ticked off -I would be too- Glad your not going to see him again seems he felt he couldn't be bothered with you & that's ignorant- Good luck in the future!!

you could have gotten his attention by squeezing his butt !
maybe that would have kept him from answering his phone.
keep his hands busy with something else.
