Hamburger is one of the most versatile meat there is. There are thousands of quick recipes using hamburger.
My kids favorite was rivels.
Brown hamburger.
1/4 cup chopped onion
Salt and pepper to taste
Peel a few potatoes.
add 2 cups of water. Or enough to just about cover the hamburger and potatoes.
Separately, Stir together, one egg, and enough flour to make mixture dry and crumbly (at least one cup) Put the crumbles in the skillet with the hamburgers, potatoes, water. Stir once in a while to prevent sticking. Add 1/4 cup of additional water to the pot if it gets too dry. Simmer until potatoes are nice and tender. Only takes about 1/2 hour from start to finish. One pan, one dish=Quick clean up. And the kids loved it. Friends still request this, when they visit.

Try sloppy joes--brown the hamburger in a skillet, add tomato sauce and seasonings such as salt, pepper, onion and/or garlic powder. You could also add chopped green peppers, onions or a minced garlic. Serve on a hamburger bun.

On a pan with little bit of oil cook hamburger meat with chopped onions, then add canned mushrooms, 1tbs Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and 1 cup of sour cream. Garlic (or garlic powder) can be added. Mix it all well, and keep cooking until ready. Then add cooked macaroni. (Cook macaroni separately.)

Hamburger meat can be substituted with chicken meat (cut in little cubes) in this recipe.
