Not sure why it happens...but best advice - don't touch your ear.

Usually it has to do with nerves. You won't know for sure unless you go see a doctor, however. Sometimes, issues with nerves can be very serious, so it pays to get a good checkup.

Sounds like you may have a pulled muscle...maybe you could put a lil ice on it and rest it awhile.
