Alternative medicine does more than offer hope and promises. In many cases people have actually been cured. Alternative medicine functions best as a preventative. Meaning that toxic substances are to be avoided. However with early detection many serious diseases and maladies are not only treatable, but curable. The key lies in detoxification, which is something the allopathic world refuses to listen to. Proponents of allopathic medicine prefer to administer toxic drugs that work against the bodies natural defense system rather than with it. They advocate diets of denatured food (which is the root of most disease), and charge astronomical fees for "healthcare" and "medicine".
Some doctors are beginning to utilize the two, giving the patient more choices, which is the best of both worlds, modern diagnostics coupled with safer, gentler, treatment.

Its been working in China for thousands of years. Doctors perform surgery on people using only acupuncture in lieu of traditional anesthesia. Western anesthesia is the most dangerous part of surgery. Some people are not healthy enough to undergo it and it can take two weeks to wear off.
