I wouldn't belch in front of strangers, as I know that they would most likely find it rude. In addition, a loud belch would call attention to its producer immediately(as would a loud fart) while a silent fart can't be traced to anyone specific(it would, however, still stink up a situation.) You would then be perceived as having no couth if a belch/loud fart is traced to you. If you get the desire/need to belch loudly or fart, do it in private.

With the exception of some cultures, yes belching is rude, whether in front of strangers or people you know.

Farting is always rude. Belching in some cultures is highly appreciated and an insult if you don't do it. It is letting the chef de cuisine know the food was good enough.

Be your self in any respect cases. yet keep in mind: the belching you, isn't the full you. i'm particular that there are cases you keep on with decorum: gown, act, and behave as envisioned. even as with your acquaintances, be as you wish. even as the concern demands it - teach how stylish you would possibly want to be. both are you! even with each and every thing, you'll not positioned on a leather jacket, chaps and hollow ridden jeans right into a suitable journey. Neither might want to you position on a LBD and pearls to bypass into the line homestead. Be authentic for your total self. -- DAVE

No way Jose. I did this when I met the Queen of England once. She was totally cool with it. She told me she belches all the time.

In Japanesse culture, it is polite to burp after a meal to let the host know you enjoyed it. If one slips out simply yell "Arigato!"
