and

He who laughs last, laughs best. Let's say you pull one over on your friend, and so you laugh. But then your friend pulls a better one over on you, and so he laughs. He got the last laugh, and so he's happier than you are.

This saying came from the 60s when students started to share accommodation. The original version was, 'He who baths first baths fast.'
Another saying, which has a similar provenance is, 'People who live in glass houses shouldn't take baths.'
