My friend is from Germany and nannying for a wealthy family in Washington, DC. I am going to visit her for the long weekend and I will be staying in their home, where she has her own quarter of the house. I would like to get them a little thank you gift for allowing me to stay there. They have 3 children, oldest is around 10 and youngest is 2. Theyre both doctors. I am cheap and looking to spend NO MORE than $20, but less if possible. Any idea of what to get them?

$20 worth of GOOD coffee beans; go to Starbucks or a gourmet coffee house and ask for help.

some flowers or candies could be a beneficial gesture, besides the indisputable fact that it's not required. i'm specific they had savour it, yet you additionally can basically deliver some foodstuff, as you suggested, and probably a action picture or something relaxing like that. in the event that they had little ones they had probably be happy with an Easter bunny or something.

A nice, hand-written note, accompanied by something everyone can enjoy, such as a plant, or cookies from a gourmet bakery. Wine is good too, but then you're leaving out the children, which is unfair.

A house plant is usually a good thank you gift. Some people give bottles of wine or chocolate. Hope that helps :)

A nice thank you card expressing your gratitude will be just fine. But are you really cheap or is it that you cannot afford more than $20?

I would say a nice hand written note on good stationary. Put it in a nice frame with pics and dried flowers.

What about a small trinket from where you're from ( pewter hanging ornament, pewter clock, a small crystal ornament, candle holder, a nice set of coasters) ..in fact they'd likely appreciate anything that you give them. :)

I like the idea of coasters. They'd be something they could keep to remember what a nice guest you were.
