Absolutely! You have a duty to inform the police with the time, date, location and any descriptions of the lads and their car - even a partial index of the car etc. Think how bad you would feel if the same thing happened to someone else and the thieves/robbers did get away with their bike. Also, you don't know how violent these lads might be.
The police collate intelligence like this and it is possible that they would already have this type of intelligence. The more they get, the more likely they are to be able to catch criminals and make strong cases for the prosecution. This is potentially a serious crime which really MUST be reported and a statement made.
I am glad they didn't get away with your bike and that they appear not to have injured you. But PLEASE, report it.

you should of called them right then and there to report it and give a description to see if they could of found them. still call now just in case they now who it is because they did it to someone else, but it is a little too late to do anything now.
