To get the best - the very best - flavour in your peanut butter and banana sandwich you must start with salt free peanut butter.
The humble little peanut works best without any additives in the processing. The more ingredients listed on the peanut butter jar the grater the likelihood that it will react negatively on just about everything you choose to add to your sandwich.
Try to get fresh ground, pure peanut butter. The Health Food stores are one good source to find fresh ground peanut butter. The natural oils help to preserve your peanut butter. I keep mine at room temperature and use it quick enough to avoid spoilage.
Another big advantage of pure, unadulterated peanut butter is that its neutral flavour allows you to use it in combinations to suit any taste. I have found that many common table condiments go well with peanut butter: relish, mustard (particularly,Dijon,) pesto, pickles, salsa sauce and many other piquant spreads that I like. On the other side of the taste buds, I will use all sorts of jams and jellies, yogurts and add slices of fruit. Until you have tried it, don't knock it. I consider peanut butter to be a food group on its own.

Tried it when I was small not really knocked out. The Americans have peanut butter and jelly(our jam) sandwiches, but I think it fair to say that this kind of horrible oversweetening of food is generally confined to the younger people in the UK at least. The very thought makes me feel queasy. Ugh!

Banana and peanut butter sandwiches are in simple terms very common with distinctive those that i know. in all probability you could desire to objective to grant it a shot? yet another concerns that i've got heard bypass nicely with peanut butter in a PB&J (minus the J) are honey and granola. If those do no longer artwork... nicely, alternative jam for jelly. comparable advice, comparable great flavor.

It's a lovely combination with wholemeal bread. And I can always argue that both peanut butter and banana are nourishing and sustaining to get round those awkward little things called calories!
