Congrats on your new baby!! I will head a warning.. stay up with those babyblues.. they can so easily turn into something more...

As for sex drive.. I'm not sure if you're complaining that you don't have a sex drive already or you have a sex drive but you don't want to have sex with the lochia...

Everyones lochia stops at it's own time.. Mine was 4 wks...
Think of it this way.. when your placenta/afterbirth detached from your body... it tore and thats where the blood is coming from.. When your uterus is all healed up, then the bleeding will stop.. so as long as you see blood.. you still have a raw sore inside your uterus...
You can have sex whenever you feel like it.. but docs say wait 6 weeks because that's ample time (usually) to let your insides and your va-ya-ya heal.. When they are open and sore.. and you introduce something (like a penis) you're also introducing bacteria.. Generally your va-ya-ya fluids are there to ward off those pesky buggys so you don't get an infection.. but when you have an open area.. that defense line is broken.. The last thing you want after having to deal with a newborn is getting an infection in your uterus/va-ya-ya...

Again, congrats! It's your call.. just know why the lochia is there.. it won't last forever.. and of course.. please think of some form of birthcontrol.. even if you're breastfeeding.. you are most fertile right after delivery and accidents do happen and unless you want babies close together.. you need to think about using something..

Congrats on the baby. Get help with the baby blues...it could turn ugly. As for sex...My dr released me at 4 weeks but I think it was still a few before we actually had 'relations'. A friend of mine said the dr told her to inebriate and lubricate the first time, because it's not going to be pleasant. I would wait until you're released by the dr. And you said you're still bleeding? I don't remember it lasting that long...should be done soon. Do you remember what it was like after your first 2 delieveries?

I bled for almost a month after I gave birth. When you stop bleeding and your DR gives you the OK to have sex, you will probably need some lubricant cosidering that things are still a little tender down there.

try having sex in the shower if the bleeding is a problem as long as is not pain for you.but i would use birth controll. i my self didn't bleed that long after because i nursed my baby . which helps slow down the bleeding and gets rid of the baby blues.

first off Congrats on the baby!!! If I remember they want you to wait the 6 weeks for stuff to heal...then after that once you are comfortable, just remember since it's been a while it will be uncomfortable for a while, at least for me it was.( that was a t.m.i. sorry!)

I have two kids and waited the full 6 weeks each time...I was too afraid to risk it....although, that six weeks only refers to intercourse...there are other ways to "be together..." if you're creative enough....

Wait at least the 6 weeks.. But if you dont feel like it yet, then dont do it.. You're going to be really tired.
