In the past few years I've owned Canon PowerShot A75 and Powershot A610 cameras. I was thrilled with both cameras, but unfortunately they didn't last long. I've just gotten a Powershot S3 IS in the past few days, and so far about 90% of my pictures are blurry...and this is in daylight. I was under the impression that the image stabilization feature would reduce the blurriness, which was only present on the other cameras in fairly low light, but the outcome of my pictures on the S3 IS is ridiculous! Am I doing something wrong or could the camera be defective?

If you never had trouble before and you have not suddenly developed Parkinson's Disease, I suggest you take the camera back where you bought it and tell them it is defective. My daughter has an S2 IS and the pictures are absolutely fabulous. She rarely gets the "shake" warning.

Maybe there is some setting that needs to be restored to a default???

Real quick..i think it could be dirty lens, a finger or strap in the way, slow film speed, or real bad film development. I'd show the pictures and the camera to a good camera shop, they'll probably tell you for free...or check out some trouble shooting photo sites....good luck.
