Fictional stories are written for entertainment purposes. Some times you can learn something from them, but they are generally not life-altering.

When you study spiritual works, such as the Bible, you discover deep meanings and many answers to life's questions. You even get an inside look on how God feels about certain situations. Spiritual belief is a challenge in that you must believe in things you can't see or feel.

In the science community, the subatomic level of an item isn't visible to the human eye or touchable by human hands. And yet scientists belive it exists. Walking with the Lord is similar. You don't see it or feel it at all times, but you know in your heart of hearts that it exists.

Fictional is just pretend. No existance, just imaginary.
God is not fictional. There are signs all over that He exists. You can not say, I believe that God is fictional .If you believe in Him, doesn't that make him real.
Like if I said I believe in the fictional animal, unicorns. Wouldn't that mean that I believe they are alive?
