Just waiting for evidence that such a varmint exists. Alas, it's never offered, just anecdotes from people I wouldn't trust with a burnt-out match.

There is a reality behind the word, "God". As far as this reality knows, It is All That Is: "I am that I am."

People sense this reality, and form superstitions (religions); those in authority have long known that this is a great way to have control over the masses, so they joined forces with the Church; the reality has nothing to do with the resultant concepts of a dangerous old man in the sky, with "love" in one hand, and punishment in the other.

The reality is infinite, and multitudinous (multidimensional). Its children (us...actually one Child), are capable of creating worlds of their own, but cannot create anything destructive or "evil", for none of that is real; but we can and do project images that are not real, but are so vivid, we can forget that they are unreal...all that to say this: yes, God is in a sense fictional, in that the gods the world fears do not exist but in dreams; but the perfect reality that is Love and Peace, and nearer to you than you realize, is indeed completely real.

Fictional.

I believe God is real, but organized religion is partly fiction, because it is interpreted by humans as we evolve. So many things that were once deemed sinful by the church (any church) are now accepted as our way of life.

I believe you must decide in yourself what is true and do your best to live up to that.

Blessed be,

I don't know, but if he is real I think the image that our society has of God is completely way off base.
