Well, pain is a warning that something is wrong. When the pain interferes with something as essential as breathing, something is really wrong! It's good that you can move your legs, but GO TO A HOSPITAL ANYWAY. The swelling is a good thing: it's your body trying to immobilize you so you can heal. The swelling may still be increasing & pinching nerves (why in the world are you even trying to walk???) -- what will you do if the swelling increases to the point that you can't pass urine? -- Are you worried about money? If so: how can you work to pay a bill, when you can't walk? GO to a hospital. (& I hope you'll tell us how it turns out for you).

I certainly have fallen off prolly approximately 25 cases in spite of the shown fact that this is in easy terms a coarse wager. those I bear in mind especially are: Fell off at a teach one time while my horse refused a leap and tore my wrist up tremendously undesirable. the 1st time I ever rode bareback I fell off from from canter while the pony spooked and that i landed on the sector rail. Cracked my helmet in a million/2, it could have been my head cracked had I no longer been donning one. Then back in November i develop into leaping a 3ft vertical bareback. Had already jumped it thrice that day yet for some reason this time the pony hit the leap and as a replace of it collapsing like it develop into meant to my horse flipped over it. i develop into thrown off and landed on my shoulder inflicting a open fracture(bone by using epidermis) of my collar bone. If I have been driving in a saddle i could have ended up decrease than the pony while he fell. And unhappy because it truly is, i develop into stupid sufficient to do the top comparable concern 4 weeks later. the pony in basic terms took off incorrect nevertheless this time so he did no longer fall yet I did, in spite of the shown fact that thankfully this time the only concern harm develop into my satisfaction.

Even if you don't want to go to the hospital, do so anyway! You need an x-ray, or perhaps more than one. You could have damaged something and have internal bleeding. Go to the emergency room, like now! You definitely need
a doctor's exam and Rx pain medicine.

I've been thrown a few times and never had that kind of pain afterward. You "don't want to go to the hospital if it isn't painful"?? "breathtakingly painful" isn't enough to worry you? Doesn't sound good... you need to have it checked out. Don't wait.

You need to go to the er asap to get that checked out...you could have done more damage to your back than you realize. Even if it turns out to be nothing, at least you will be able to rest a little easier knowing that you did not do any lasting damage...plus if you need muscle relaxers or pain meds they can prescribe it for you...go get it x-rayed and checked out, ok hon?

I would take a trip to the hospital if I were you. You can never be too careful! At the very least, I would call your doctor and see what he/she tells you.

I agree...there are supportive things you can do, but you definitely need to see if something is broken first. Go to the hospital. I am at windstarhealing.com if you have any questions...good luck!

Go to the hospital. It won't get better on it's own if you broke something.

You need xrays to determine if something is broken. Then if nothing is broken, get a good massage and see a chiropractor.
