I really do have to agree that Catholicism seems to have some absolutely hateful philosophies. The continued cover-up for paedophile priests, the horrible notion that unchristened children who die go to 'limbo', the continued ban of birth control, and so many other vile and fear-inducing preachings.

The whole ethos of the religion seems to be based on fear and abuse. A disgusting state of affairs, and if there is a God, and he agrees with that, then I'm glad I'm a heathen.

many people confuse Catholisim with Christianity. while Catholics accept the Bible, the say that tradition is equal in authority, which is clearly wrong. if the Pope declared tomorrow that everyone must keep their dirty socks in a green plastic carrier bag, the RC church would deem that equal to the Bible saying that everyone should love the Lord their God with all their heart. real Salvation comes only through accepting Jesus as your personal saviour, not through the rituals of the Catholic church. i supose the Cathoilic church is evil, as it leads people away from God and towards a lost eternity.

I do not agree with a paid clergy
Jesus and his disciples did not get paid for preaching they had jobs as carpenters and fishermen earning their living with their own hands.
Also I don't agree with passing around a plate for money at religious services.
If Catholic priests had to work in a job like a carpenter for instance and like many churches now care for the flock in their spare time as lay clergy this would be the real test of faith,
I look forward eagerly to that great day.

The powers that be within Catholicism have not been consistently true to the traditional Roman Catholic teachings. The religion itself is not at fault it is the Vatican (yet again), unfortunately because politics and religion are so very intertwined now it is difficult for Catholics true to their religion to climb the ladder (as it were). There are no elections in this religion and so the church (i.e. the people) have no choice in who gets elected to high positions within the establishment and no choice in what stupid and pathetic (in this case criminal) choices are made. In many cases the church do not even get to learn of them either. Do not judge the church by the secrets of men.

The program knowingly and dishonestly distorts the truth of the matter.

Any religious (priest, nun or monk) is subject to TWO laws:

1. The church's laws (cannonical law)
2. The laws of the country in which he or she resides

The document deals with, and exclusively with, the treatment of the case under cannonical law. Nowhere in the document does it forbid, discourage or even advise against reporting the offence to the relevant lay authorities. The docment instructs how the church is to act independently of lay authorities, whether or not the lay authorities take any action at all.

The Catholic church does not follow God's Word.

The Catholic church says Mary is sinless, but God's Word says ALL have sinned.

The Catholic church is a non-Christian cult.

That's your problem .Because your narrow mind and dim wits can only focus on a single portion. Because of your hate and evil beliefs you will not allow your self to see any good. Just as so many are looking at the example today set by muslims.

It's ur personal perspective..if u can't respect a religion then you haven't got the right to speak against it as well...learn abt it..believe in it...put your faith...but perhaps you can't!! So, i suggest you speak what you know...i agree certain people tend to defame Catholic religion or any other, but religion is never to be blamed..!!
