I'm a Pagan and don't believe in Hell, if the Summer lands weren't there either it would be all the more reason to do the right thing.
1. If this world is all we have, then we should all do what we can to make it the best possible world for everyone. To avoid wrongdoing only to avoid punishment and to do what is right only because you are guaranteed a reward are the actions of a person without a conscience or any concept of morality.
2. I find it inconceivable that any but the most evil of entities would force such a choice. I would therefore dismiss the being as a liar and save my friend.

I am a Muslim.

1. It just can't be, because there is no "if" in Islamic faith. There are Heaven, Hell, reward and punishment for deeds. I will always, Insha-allah, have faith in my religion.

2. This is an invalid question according to Islam. There is no such chance that a mere angel would come to me and ask me to go to heaven. And it also kinda absurd because I can't go to heaven alive, first I have to die. So if the angel is the Angel of Death, then I must die, no matter my dying friend is going to die. I wouldn't choose to save him in either way because he is sick and dying, meaning he is dying because of his sickness, and there is extremely low chance that if I go help him, he will not die.

I am Christian

seirously....these are in my mind hypotheticals that dont apply to reality... God is a rewarder and does not send angels with false messages of salvation or to stopp people form doing good works that glorify God

1, no rewards? The book of Hebrews says in order to please God you MUST believe He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him... so YOU MUST BELIEVE HI IS A REWARDER or you are not pleasing to God hence you are discussing a hypothetical fictious non event not relevant to the real God

2.friend or salvation? part of Judgment is NOT caring for those in prison, the sick or the naked or the poor and if I were you I would make the angel prove he is ineded from the God of mercies who commands us to LOVE MERCY.. I suspect the angel would NOT be of God because not only is it out of character, but my salvation is NOT contingent upon being picked up by and angel at a certian time, my Salvation was bought at the cross and the redeemed are sealed for tedemtion and nothing can seperate the redeemeed fro the love of Christ.. I would tend to seirously doubt that angel is of God given the question. When God wants someone to come home he will take them, by death or by rapture it wont be optional

Religion: Orthodox/Traditional Daemonolatry

1. My religion is about living here and now and not dwelling on death. Death is the natural conclusion to life. Plus, I've never died and lived to tell about it so I think it would be arrogant for me to think I should claim to know if there's something after death.

2. I don't believe in heaven or an afterlife so this scenario seems silly to me. However, I think that when it's your time to go, it's your time to go. You don't have a choice in the matter - sick friend or not.

First off, I am not a subscriber to any religion.

1. I personally believe that you will pay for your wrong doings in this life, reguardless of whether or not you ask for forgiveness.

2. I would stay with my friend. The Higher Power will understand my decision and still allow me into Paradise.

I have faith in peace, love and compassion. I worship those virtues. I don't do it to please a god or a religion, I do it cause its the path to enlightenment. Once you reach enlightenment you can help others reach it as well.

I would tell the angel that I would rather burn in hell than leave my friend to die. That should teach the angel a thing or two.

I'm agnostic.

thats not how it works. you dont get one chance to go to heaven from an angel or whatever you said. God sent his son jesus to die on the cross to pay the punishment for everyones sins. we have all sined and noone deserves gods grace, but because he loves us he was willing to make a way for us to spend eternity in heaven with him when we die. all we have to do is believe that god really did this and that he loves us and wants us to be in heaven with him. god says that if you ask him tocome into your heart and take your sins away that he will. his promise is true.if you belive gods promise and want your sins taken away and wantto be in heaven with god when you die, then god says all you have to do is ask him to come into your heart and he will keep his promises. once you are saved you are always saved. it sounds like you are confused about what you believe. i am achristian. if you have any other questions you can e mail me at galensbeautifulgirl@yahoo.com. i hope you take what i said seriously and i hope i was able to help.

This IS a Heaven and a Hell, so your question is without merit.

You aren't asked about dying, you die when it is your time, regardless of whether or not you are ready, so be ready at all times.

I'm a born again Christian, the only true religion.

The Koran explicitly says that Muslims who persist with Mohammed will kill Jewish people everywhere (contained in the authentic cases). From Sahih Al-Bukhari: volume 4, e book fifty 2, form 176 Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar: Allah’s Apostle stated, “You (i.e. Muslims) will wrestle with the Jews till a number of them will hide behind stones. The stones will (betray them) declaring, ‘O ‘Abdullah (i.e. slave of Allah)! there's a Jew hiding behind me; so kill him.’ “ volume 4, e book fifty 2, form 177 Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle stated, “The Hour should not be widely used till you wrestle with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. “O Muslim! there's a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.” volume 4, e book fifty six, form 791 Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar: I heard Allah’s Apostle declaring, “The Jews will wrestle with you, and also you would receive victory over them so as that a stone will say, ‘O Muslim! there's a Jew behind me; kill him!’ “ on the different hand, the Bible says that the G-d of Israel says, "Genesis 12 the decision of Abram a million The LORD had stated to Abram, "leave your united states of america, your people and your father's kin and bypass to the land i will tutor you. 2 "i will make you right into a unprecedented united states of america and that i will bless you; i will make your call large, and also you'd be a blessing. 3 i will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you i will curse; and all peoples in the international will be blessed through you." the people who declare that Allah is an similar because the G-d of Israel (the only authentic G-d) won't be able to have it both approaches. G-d delivers to bless Abraham and Isaac and each and every of the Jewish people-- and that any one which blesses them will be blessed and absolutely everyone who curses them will be cursed." He also says that "His love endures always." So, for Mohammed to declare that Allah informed him to inform his followers to kill the Jewish people obviously exhibits that Allah isn't a similar because the most extreme. An social gathering of what Muslim babies are taught in Muslim colleges is this actuality, latest in a Jordanian/Palestinian college e book in 1998: "This faith (Islam) will damage all different religions through the Islamic Jihad warring parties" eighth Grade Saudi Textbook: "The apes are the Jews, the people of the Sabbath; even as the swine are the Christians, the infidels of the communion of Jesus." there is in hardship-free words one author of Heaven and Earth... and He instructions a blessing on the Jewish people.
