I had a bit too much Guinness last night and I'm not hungover today. I don't over consume very often, but when I do I pay awfully the next day. This is the first time I've quaffed too many Guinness.

The trick to drinking the black stuff have a meal before ( 1 hour ) drink it in moderation, before you go to bed take a glass a water, half pint. you wake up next morn a bit groggy no sore head. We quaff about 12 pints a night ( 4 nights a week ) a good custard slice the next morn will sort out the stomach

getting a hanover has nothing to do with the type of booze you drink, it is a biological thing.

A hangover is: your brain tissue is experiencing a lack of water.

Alcohol is a diretic, which means, when alcohol is in your system, you pee more. This flushed out the water in your body. Notice how your pee gets more clear as you drink? Unce the uric acid (the "yellow" in pee) is fluched out of your system, your body used water to flush out the alcohol.

Therefore, when you drink too much, you are experiencing dehydration. When your brain tissue is dehydrated, you get a headache.

To prevent a hangover - don't drink that much, or at least make sure you are dinking water as well.

indeed... indeed. i know this much to be true at this very moment. less carbonation = less filling = room for more and more = dehydration and this throbbing headache.
