Absolutely NOT. When you dye your hair, you are damaging it. It takes protein away from the hair. If your hair is breaking it is severly damaged. My advice to you would be to go to a salon and get the hairdresser to put a treatment in. There is a special treatment put out by Redken that can only be done in salons that use Redken products. This treatment takes approx an hour to do, and is advised to be used every six weeks. The cost varies from salon to salon, and depends on the length of your hair.
You could also try a treatment that you can buy at a drug store, grocery store, etc. These treatments are good. I recommend V05 Rescue Treatments, or you could use Infusium Leave In Treatment. I also like Pantene's Deep Fortifying treatment, it makes your hair feel very nice.
Next, for the next little while, you should be using shampoos and conditioners for Dry/Damaged Hair. Avoid Blow drying, Straightening Irons, or Curling Irons. I hope this helps!!!!

dye for the hair is never recomended, natural hair colour is the best but if you must dye the hair, then see that the condition of your hair is able to with stand dye,
breaking hair or split ends dull and lifless hair usually shows that you may be not , in the best of health, trim split ends, and give hot coconut oil massage to the hair, shampoo with herbals, yolk of an egg is good for oily hair, shade your hair when out in extreme heat and harsh sunlight,
and check your diet,if this does not work, you can go to a hair specialist.

No! Definately not. If your hair is facing breakage, avoid all chemicals to it, and all heat to it...make sure for a little while you stop damaging it and using a good deep moisturizing shampoo to help correct this damage.

One that will do miracles on your hair is Redken Extreme, for extremely dry, damaged hair that is breaking. I'd look into that. It might be pricy, but it will definately help your hair out.

Probably not the best idea, but if you do - DO NOT use any product that has ammonia or peroxide. Check out www.robertcraig.com
You can buy permanent hair color without ammonia or peroxide. They also have a lot of information on how to deal with hair problems, such as breakage.

No, dying will damage your hair even more. Get the ends trimmed and ask your stylist about stregthening shampoos and conditioners. Also, some studies show that brushing your hair daily can help stregthin it.

Dying hair makes the hair loose moisture and dries it out even more than it was before. I suggest deep conditioning and a trim.
