pick up where you left off - stay away in case there is an addiction to him - get with friends - remember who you are - like yourself - think it's his loss
The like yourself one always gets them eating their heart out.

You can do one of two things.

A) you can listen to all the psychobabble out there and take time off to work through all your issues and get over him before you date again. This will take a while since without the comfort of another human you will spend a lot of time obsessing on him and yourself and what went wrong.

B) you can go out there and start dating other people. You will miss him, but at least you will be taking the steps to get over him and find someone who won't break your heart.

As you may see, plan B would be my choice. You have already wasted part of your life on someone who was careless with your heart and therefore not deserving of it. Does he really deserve more of your time? Your heart may say yes, but surely your mind tells you the truth: You are worth more than he thinks and someone else will treasure you. Go find him. He is waiting for you. And let's face it. 50% of the planet is covered with males, so the odds of you finding another man are pretty great. But you can only play those odds if you are out actively dating and trying on other people for size.

One last thing. Remember that in every species in the animal kingdom, the female of the species is the choosing party. Before you ask yourself if he likes you, ask yourself if you like him! It's your opinion that counts the most!!

We are sort of in the same boat, although i always try to think that things could ALWAYS be worse. ME for example, I am an example of how things could be worse. My HUSBAND broke my heart in a terrible way, all the promises are broken :( You really just put one foot in front of the other, and even some days it feels like you can't even stand, one day you will be running. I am in the walking stage. Things will get easier, they always do.

What did he do?Ignore him for a while. If he is worth making a friend he will realise his mistake and make amends. If he does not than he is not worthy to be a friend. You must get rid of him any way.

Get on with your life, and dont give him a second thought. The world is full of both fine and no so fine people. One loser does not make a world full of losers!

cancel all his tickets to your private little shenanigans and give him a few free language lessons such as; sayonara; adios amigo and your new accommodation is in the yellow pages at the post office.
