my dog goes in heat 1 time a year. some go 2 times a year. it last for 21 days.

Usually twice a year...once every 6 months, however there are dogs who only go in once a year and others who go in 3-4 times per year.
You won't have to worry about heat cycles, the risk of mammary cancer, reproductive cancers, pyrometria, false pregnancies,unplanned pregnancies if you get your female spayed.

they can come into season anytime after 6 mos of age and then usually twice a year. Spay her and you won't have to worry about those things
