Yes, cause it takes more energy to cool it back down than to get it constant. The same concept works with the air conditioner and heater to. Cooling and heating things runs more electricity that just keeping it a contant temp all the time. Hope this helps.

Don't turn it off unless you want spoiled food in the morning Or a defrosted freezer if you don't have frost-free.
And yes. It costs more to constantly make it cool off again rather than keeping it constantly cold.

first, your refrig will have to work twice as hard to cool down once it warms not to mention that milk and such my spoil.
