Does he put a lot of pepper or spice on his food? It could be that; my dad used to sprinkle ground black pepper all over his plate and then sneeze like mad, because the powder floats in the air for a while.

2-too much spice or pepper
3-allergies
4-faking it to go sum where org et sumtin
5- ur dad has some problems with his nose or lungs or etc.and needs to see a doctor

May be eat so much and he stay with less blood on brain in that time. More blood on stomach required to digestion.
