How do you punctuate titles (of your own paper and within your text) using the MLA format?

For example, I am writing an essay with a title...do i underline or bold this title? also, within my essay, i reference several other works, for which ones do i use quotation marks and for which ones do i use underlining? please include sources

Your title should be centered under the heading. No bold, no underline, just capitalize the important letters.

Use quotation marks for the quote itself and underline the work it came from, if mentioned.
