My husband keeps his head shaved at a # 0 to a # 1, he gets awful ingrown hairs what can we do to clear this problem up? He was in the military so it had to be short...so now that's how he always keeps it...very short. I know that the ingrown hairs hurt him and I am not talking about just one or two it's more like ten to twelve each day. Does anyone know of a cure or at least something that we can do that will help? I hate to have to pull them all out. Any quick fixes or solutions would be a great help!

I could never understand why women want to shave all the hair off anyway, they want it so much when they are younger so they can say I'm a woman now but once they get it they shave it. It may reduce the smell and keep down certain bactria and all but i would much rather see a woman with hair and trim it than a shaved bald Eagle i used to wear one on my cover.Anyway as to your ingrown hair if a little bit is sticking out( I know it is sore as ll get out) but try and get a hold of it and pull it out. It will be very long. Once you get them out try and keep the area clean, wear cotton panties, use some female wipes, go from front to rear, try and stay away from any sexaul active until they heal all up, that would also any self pleasure. unless you are checking for more hairs. Get the hand mirror and some twezzers or get some help from BF or hubby. I would help the wife if she ask.

i would let it grow longer than he has it usually. when your hair grows back it will get rid of the ingrown hairs and he shouldn't shave it that short anymore because it will only cause him more pain. he should keep it like a # 2 or 3 on top and shave the sides shorter like a #1. i think that should help him with the ingrown hair problems

Exfoliate. But be careful because after you do, you must wear sunscreen to protect the new skin.
