I keep getting these really bad stomach cramps for the last 5 days or so. They started off not too bad, but now its to the point where standing up straight feels like my stomach is pulling. Also, if I try to suck in my stomach at all I almost throw up it hurts so bad. the worst pain is about an inch above my belly button. what can be causing it?

If it is an inch above your belly button it could be your gallbladder. First I need to know whether or not it hurts in your back and if the pain ever relieves itself. If you answered yes to the back and no to the second part then it's most likely your gallbladder and you need to see a dr. If the pain will subside then you probably have what is called a Hpylori infection in the lining of your stomach. It is caused by reflux and indigestion which eats at your stomach lining over time. It can be treated with a certain antibiotic, but you need to see your family Dr.

You need to drink lots of water throughout the day to prevent these cramps from happening. Also, make sure you do not eat right before running. If you body isnt used to running, this can also cause stomach cramps.

I hate to sound redundant, but you seriously need to consider going to the doctor. http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/sym/stomach_cramps.htm. This is a link that might help you, but don't assume that you know. If this has been going on for five days that is about three days too long.

Are you taking any medication?

Are you eating? "Normal" foods?

After 5 days, I suggest going to a doctor.

Your best bet is to call the doctor or go to the emergency room. You should have gone by the 3rd day........i would be afraid to second guess...........This could be serious...Good lcuk!
