Well, He DID reveal Himself, and they crucified Him. Now, He has left it to the missionaries to go and tell. Many do, and often, at the cost of their lives.

Besides, who are you to advise God how to go about His business? As it is written: "Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, or has been His counselor to teach Him? With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?" (Isaiah 40:13-14)

It would be no problem at all reaveling himself to the whole world all at once. but God doesn't want that. he wants complete and total faith in him. Besides Romans 1:20 says "since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities, his devine nature and eturnal power have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made so that man is without excuse". He has reaveled himself through his self proclaimed, inspired word "The Bible" The bible is hisoricly, scirntificly, accurate. Every prediction it has ever made came true (except those pretaining to end-time events) it was written by over forty different eye-whitnesses with not one contridiction. The very fact that you're here bares whitness to a creator, the bible says "the heavens declare the glory of God" how can you look at the vastness of the night time sky, or the compact complexity of a D.N.A. molocule and chalk it up to random chance. Thats like blowing up an ink and paper factory and getting "War and Peace". How can you attribute traits such as mimicry to evolution (one animal imitating another) how does the unintelligent force of evolution know what the coral snake looks like to copy it on a king snake, and then utilize it for protection, if evolution happens one step at a time how do you explain the woodpecker, if it develops the sturdy neck without the reinforced beak it would break it's beak off, if it develops the reinfoced beak without the sturdy neck it would break it's neck. Even if it developed both of those traits at once it still wouldn't do it any good because it still wouldn't have the long sticky tounge it needs to get the bugs it's pecking after. Even if God did reveal him self all at once to everybody, some people still wouldn't want nothing to do with him. and if you were to ask the missionaries they would probably tell you "it's no trouble"

Your question will definitely have many answers. Each answer will be the opnion of each religion. Simply put, christianity, judaism, islam and all the other religions will have their unique answers to it. i shall attempt to answer in the islamic point of view.

Part A: God has revealed in the quran that he has no shape and form. Whatever man can imagine using his intelligence, that's what god isn't. However he will reveal himself only in the day of judgement. Why? becoz this world is a test for mankind, for each and everyone of us to discover our Maker. He has promised heaven and hell for eternity for those who Believe in Him and those who don't respectively. Our lifetime of approximately 80 years would amount to null relative to Eternity. So if you think abt it it's a really short test. You're right, it would be child's play for him to reveal himself. However he has chosen to put us through this test of Life in this world in order to discover Him, know Him and worship Him. This is why if he revealed himself he will be defeating the purpose of this test.

Part B: When prophet Moses (pbuh) prayed to see Him, Allah showed him a minute fraction of his Light (Nur) and being human, Moses (pbum) could not take the intensity and passed out. Such is another reason why God can't reveal himself to Mankind. We will perish due to his overwhelming Power. (I figured you will ask me if He is the almighty and can will anything, he could possibly will for mankind to be able to withstand his Power and show Himself. That's why i informed you about Part A which better answers your question. This is ONE of the reasons also given to answer why god cannot reveal himself.

I hope my answer has been satisfactory. Remember we did not choose to be born. We've definitely been put here for a reason. It's our innate characteristic to question who we are and where we've come from. Your question is one of the many questions about God and and how He has willed for us humans to BEGIN to discover him. I hope you will keep up the interest and explore the many religions and be on your path to discover Him. Good luck and peace out!

Seems like this event is to occur at some time in the future. Will you be ready to face Him and declare how good you have been? Knowing that your entire life has been entered into the Book of Life. With no way to talk your way out of, what your actions and thoughts have been!!

If an omnipotent being really existed, it would be a "snap". However, the concept of a higher power is a fairy tale. The religious people are secretly extremely superstitious.

Don't believe in fairy tales. Santa , the ToothFairy, the Sandman and "god" are only stories. Granted the "idea" of Judeo/Christianity isn't bad at all. But the superstition is not very healthy.

Nope, no can do, out of the question. It would violate the free-will thingee. We're supposed to arrive at God through our own volition, not via parlor tricks.
By the way, I think this also applies to those who think they "see" the creator in aspects of reality. So-called "Intelligent Design" is one such "blasphemy."

Jesus prayed that we do not be taken out now, and wanted us to be the light, the salt, and to stay in this world till Judgement Day. For we are in this world, yet not of this world. Till then, we will continue to be doing what Lord Jesus has told us to do on this world. Please look up the Bible from John and the next few chapters following it for more info.

That's not part of God's big plan for Mankind! Jesus says that the way to heaven is by faith. That's believeng in God. People get to Heaven by believing in God and asking for forgiveness. If God showed himself, no one would be able to "believe" in him. After all, believing is showing that you are actually commited. That's what God is looking for.

that's a damn good question.

christians often wonder why atheists don't believe and the answer is simple - "give me proof and i'll believe". if i heard god's voice booming down from the sky, damn right i'd be in church next sunday.

if god exists he could turn the whole world into believers, as you said. he needs to lay it out for us to play it out.
