From the perspective of a folklorist...
The academic definition of a myth is ANY story pertaining to a culture or belief system, regardless of verification. So, in a way, yes. However, that's just the stories; the active part of these stories is the religion. Religion is, therefore, different and alive, while the stories around it are myths.

I didn't see a stupid question. religion and GOD is not mythological as these are current belief systems we discuss here. the mythology and folklore section refer to the Ancient Religious Belief Systems which are in most culture and societies past. my personal opinion of course no one Else's

Religions accept God as real...whether faith or communion. It belongs in Religions and Spirituality. God is also a spirituality issue for many without a religious following. It is fine where it is . BTW no question is considered stupid. If there is a sincere need to know, then it is valid.
