I checked with a few other jet ski rental sites in Hawaii, and they seem to agree that a valid driver's license is required.

not that I know of, go to Hawaii.com and find out. someone on there might know for sure. More than likely, the only you would really have to know for sure, how to drive on the water, how to swim, etc
