Hi. Iam a BTech graduate in computer science n wrking in s/w field.But my problem is dat i have a lot of frnds not interested in s/w field.They r not gettin any offer other than frm s/w field.There r both electronics n communications and computer science gradutaes. I wanna help them to get a job in technical field, but not call centres.V need purely technical job. Any1 hav suggestions or can help plz inform.V r from kerala. Thanks in advance

You can go into support, QA, or design as far as the software field. If you are an Electrical Engineer, you can go into design, manufacturing, and testing of hardware. My friend is an EE and works at Texas Instruments testing IC chip designs.

Not sure what a BTech degree is, but generally, the minimum required for getting hired in most EE positions is a BSEE.

Anything less than that would qualify them as an advanced technician or engineer's assistant.

check out all of the test equipment companies, both from maintaince, installation and such, but also check into sales of hardware. The background can serve you well and with sales you can make more than most anyone else in the company

There are lots of field. How about doing hardware testing?? Hardware installing or maintence is a good job for you.

of course their are jobs in electronics other than in s/w, every thing we use today needs to be repaired new things designed etc etc

you can design circuits or build appliances like amplifiers something like that
