why do white people wants to call us (italians) white ...??

i'm italian and i don't wanna be called white 'cuz i ain't white lol
am i the darkes white you've ever seen..?

i'm 100% italian and proud if it.
mexicans are from european background and they are not called white...not only spanish but french , german etc..etc..etc...

You don't want to be categorized, Neither do " white " people.

So, Now think about this, What you are saying is that all people who are white, Want to call Italians white?

Now, your talking more about races then color,
There are different races with different colors. I know Australian, African, American, British who are Light Skinned & there is others who are Darker Skinned people.

Does it matter, I mean seriously.. If a person is black skinned, I am not going to say they are purple.!!
If you have white skin, People are obviously going to say to you.

Where I'm from we consider only four races to exist: black, white, yellow and red. Italians, Hispanics and Arabs among others fall into the white category.

I've noticed that in some countries (especially the U.S.A. I guess) people think there are more races than that and continue categorizing people into Hispanics, Arabs etc. as separate races.

Personally I don't think it matters what race anyone is or to which category each nation falls. We're all human after all, there is no need to differentiate between races.

Because you are of European descent just like the Australians and New Zealanders and not an African or Asian or Pacific Islander. Its just a pervasive categorization or distinction that have been used in writing early history and used perceptively by one making a distinction.

Im white and I wouldn't call italians "northern European" white. A person would have to be an Idiot if they can't tell the difference between a northern european and a southern european "latin". The southern latins have darker hair, sometimes darker skin and are alot "hotter blooded" than the whiter northern europeans.

Because their are only 3 races in the world, so unless your black you are considered white, meaning in the white family, Their are many different colors in the white family. If you are Sicilian then maybe your black, because the moors ruled Italy some time back, and inter mingled with Italians. Just pick your color who gives a sh*t. Their are many more Italians that would be offended if you refer to them as any other color than white. And most people don't say their is a white Italian, they just say he's Italian.

nicely i do no longer understand who Helina is yet while she is ethiopian it does no longer recommend you're constantly black. Like in usa your no longer white, you would be any coloration an be american. perhaps she is blended, i do no longer understand. If she isn't that then she probably is black, i'm basically assuming. you have dark pores and skin besides the indisputable fact that it does not constantly recommend the guy is black, look at some indians and southeast asians.

My first boyfriend was Italian and he also didn't like to be called white. His grandparent's were sicilian and was always bad mouthing white people.
