Might want to read that link you posted yourself. Mexican Americans are US citizens, Mexican Immigrants are not. You are putting them all in the same catagory. If you can't see the difference then I am afraid I will have to generalize just like you do. I believe people who cannot tell the difference are bigots.

I think its because of the enviorment which might depend where they live a two students that are mexican one might live in orange county and the other might live in lets say compton. the one from o.c. is less likely to dropout. So we just don't make the majority of dropouts many diff. people 4rm diff. backgrounds dropout.

Sometimes, the family probably can't afford to pay for educational costs so the teenager may have to resort to dropping out of school and finding a job.
Gangs are more likely to be in areas of poverty where more violence is present. It is REALLY hard to to get educated in a neighborhood with so many gangs and violence.
Some may be lucky to stay away from gangs and go to college but that possibility may go down when the gang-life comes to you.
Race or nationality doesn't play a role in education. Their social status does.

On most occasion, they don't have any choice. It's either work full time or them and their family lives on the street. Do some research before you go making comments like that, child.

Maybe they needed to start working to help support their family.
I know a few non-Mexican Americans who dropped out of high school. They were really proud of themselves for dropping out.
Then again school was much safer without those goons around.
