Where does it say you have to be married before you have a baby? I'm not trying to argue, I read the bible all the time, and have yet to find anything that touches either subject. I have found that God approves of marriage tho, but that it is a sin? I have yet to find. Specific verses would be great thanx! :o]

You need a Bible Concordance to be able to look up all subjects for yourself.

The word you are looking for is: fornication. The Word of God calls it sexual immorality.

Acts 15:20, Romans 1:29, 1 Corinthians 1:5:1, 1 Corinthians 6:13, 1Corinthians 7:2, Galatians 5:19. and more.

The whole reason for these scriptures is that God invented sex. He meant it for loving enjoyment and reproduction between 1 man and 1 woman who have made a covenant with each other in marriage. So that babies can have a loving and devoted mom and dad who are able to financially take care of a child.

The sex that God meant for good for us, has been twisted at times by Satan and other people for some to believe that it is vulgar and nasty. Not so. GOD INVENTED SEX.

Despite our permissive society that suggests that everyone should be sexually active, God considers premarital sex to be sin. In the Bible, the word “fornication” (Greek, PORNIEA) is used to describe premarital sex and other acts of sexual impurity. According to the Bible, God created sex to be a blessing of the union between a husband and wife, but He clearly and absolutely disapproves of all other sexual activity, including premarital sex. “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge” (Heb. 13:4). In this age of worry about sexually transmitted diseases, there is something better than a condom that can be worn to prevent AIDS: It’s called a wedding ring! The Bible says, “...because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband” (1 Cor. 7:2).

The Bible warns that those who continue a life-style of fornication and adultery will not inherit God’s Kingdom. “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Gal. 5:19-21).

What are you talking about?? It is in all over the bible. The new testament: Do not be deceived, the fornicators, adulterer, drunkard shall not inherit the kingdom of God. I believe it is Corintian 1, I think.

Also, fornication is sex before marriage.

The Bible goes further than to say premarital sex is a sin. In Matthew 5 Jesus says in the Sermon on the Mount that even looking a someone with lust in your eyes is a sin.

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
1st Corinthians 6:18-20

If we are to have God’s attitude, the act of sex should therefore be as binding as marriage and should be associated with lifelong commitment.

It does in several places yes, depending how you interpret it,as with most things in the bible. However it also says a million and one other things your not supposed to do if your Christian, including eating shell fish, pork, drinking. Also your supposed to give up ALL material possessions, and that would include computers. So to follow everything to the word Christians shouldn't even be owning a computer.

In all honesty i cant think of any human who could live and follow the bible to the word, and i think in all reality most people are having pre-marital sex anyway. If they are claiming otherwise then they are just very good liars.

As with everything in the bible people pick and choose the bits they want that suits them.

I'm under the impression that the Bible suggests that if one "lays" with another, they are to be married.
In modern day, that translates that you shouldn't sleep with someone that you wouldn't marry.
