Hey Hon,
This is not a bad thing. You just need some self confidence. I stick out all the time and wouldn't want it anyother way. I am an unintentional individualist and my friends frequently tell me that I am odd. But don't you want people to love you for who you are and not for trying to be someone you are not? Honestly dear, I do not fit in with most of my friends, I am the odd one out in every group I am in, but am still loved perhaps not even in spite of it but because of it. You just need to get to the point where you are no longer self-concious about it, I don't mean that you don't notice it but that you don't care.

Welcome to my world. Sounds like you've been here a while already. It is 100% an issue of perception. You feel like you stand out, and you probably send out the wrong message as a result. I personally am quiet and I stand back to see what is going on before I speak up or act. I found out later on that people though I was stuck up which is soooooooo far from the truth. Perhaps you live on the edge of fearing acceptance. If so, I'm your neighbor, nice to meet you.
You are probably way more accepted than you allow yourself to acknowledge. My advice is don't try to impress anyone. And now the hardest advice in the world....Relax! It is really hard no to be uptight around groups of people....believe me I know. Sometimes I just force myself into a situation so I have to deal with it. My whole life I have been behind the scenes guy...literally. I've worked for bands, behind the stage, theaters behind the curtains...now I work behind a spotlight. I make myself talk to one new person every few days here. Maybe just a hello or a how are you. I don't feel like I'm the one in the spotlight so much now. I'm even taking acting classes now. Little steps...that's the trick...little steps gets you there, slowly, but it gets you there.

You can't change who you are. If u stick out in a good way, why be sad just be happy w/what God blessed u with. I kind of have the same experience, but not that extreme. I just try 2 comprehend and live w/it. I know it gets annoying and makes u feel insecure, but don't worry so much about what other ppl think because they don't do it very often. Just embrace it and be your beautiful self. Good Luck hun.
