Let me first explain to you HOW humans see colors. White light, the same light that comes from the sun and all lightbulbs, is composed of ALL the different colors in the electromagnetic spectrum. Basically, white light is made up of all the colors in a rainbow. Let's say for example you see that your friend is wearing a green shirt. When white light strikes the shirt, the light with the frequency corresponding to green light is absorbed into the shirt because it contains pigments that are specifically designed to absorb green light. All the other light reflects off the shirt, and into our eyes. Our brain somehow sees the green light, although it was absorbed by the shirt, and not relfected back. The light that was reflected back somehow helps us to see the absorbed (green) light. The reason we see certain colors is that the objects were designed with pigments that allow that color light to be absorbed. The color black represents the absence of color. I'm sure you already know that black is not a color. When you go into a room, and turn off all the lights, all you see is blackness. This shows that black is not a color. Let's say for example that you're wearing a black shirt. When white light strikes your shirt, all light (which corresponds to ALL different colors) gets absorbed, and nothing gets reflected. Since more light gets absorbed by black shirts, than other shirts, you feel hotter when you wear black shirt. This is true for dark colors in general. Let's say now that you're wearing a white shirt. Remeber again that WHITE light is made up of ALL colors. When light strikes the white shirt, ALL the different colors are reflected away from the shirt, and into our eyes. That's why white things look white. Since all that light was reflected away, the shirt absorbs nothing, and it stays cooler than other colors.

Dark clothes absorb the heat of the sun and the body gets warm and hot if you wear dark clothes , that's why the white colour or light colour's are always in fashion for the summer!

Because White colour absorbs less heat so we prefer white clothes in summers

Well for most people dark clothes makes you even more hotter in the summer. But with lighter clothes it keeps you more cooler and doesn't attract the sun as much as darker clothes would.

Have you ever noticed, when walking barefoot that the sidewalk is always cooler on your feet in the Summer than the blacktop on the road? This is because the darker the color the more it absorbs heat, and the lighter color reflects more of the heat.
It is the same with clothing.

The theory is that white or light clothes reflect the sun's light away from the wearer and make them feel cooler. Black or dark clothes absorb sunlight and heat and make the wearer feel warmer.

Dark colours absorb heat and in summer one would feel more hot with dark colours. Whereas white coloured clothes reflect heat and one would feel cooler in such clothes!

Dark colors hold heat longer. Thus the reason why you are cooler in the summer with a white t-shirt and warmer int he winter with a brown shirt.

because dark colour absorb heat radiation and try to trap them as long as it can and thats why we feel uneassy. This will not happen with white cloths
