I would say chemical engineering. ChemE's are required to take advanced course(s) in thermodynamics at my university whereas other engineering majors just take the basic course.

Almost any field of engineering can require some use of heat/thermodynamics. I have found that mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering are the most concerned with heat transfer and thermodynamics from the application stand point. Electronic and electrical engineering are also concerned due to the requirement to remove generated heat in equipment during operation.
