You can't.
The answer is "acceptance".
I suspect however its not you that is lacking in acceptance.
It is others not you that will not accept you the way you are or the way things are.
You just have to shrug and let them think what they will. Its not your problem, its theirs.
Put the world down you are carrying around on your shoulders.
Its heavy!
Take care sweetie.

Serenity Prayer is a prayer written by Reinhold Niebuhr and it seam to apply to your case.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Everybody has things which he/she can change and some things which can not be change. Wisdom is required to know which is which.

Willpower is not enough when you try to change somthing you can't help. I'de ask someone, (some outside infuence) to help you with this problem if it is a problem to you. Me, I would personaly ask God to help and my close friends.... this is a good test to find out who are your friends and who aren't.

Looking at, and acting impulsively are two different things. Look all you want.
