Depening on which country you are registering as an owner in, you need to contact the racing administrator - in GB and Ireland that is Weatherbys.

There are strict rules about the design and colours you can use. No two owners can ever have the same "colours" at the same time.

Every now and again Weatherbys hold an auction of colours for owners who have left racing or died. You can then buy these colours for your own use. But beware, the most popular "colours" (usually those that are all one colour, like Godolphin's royal blue) can fetch upwards of £30,000.

You can also design your own colours, for a fee of course!
