Plain and simple, your brain. You sexual organ has no brain to think for itself and even though they do produce enzymes, the brain is needed to interpret them.
I know what you are thinking, it has often been said that men think with the wrong "head" but this is not a valid arguement:)

Well, actually it is both but only after our hormones(testosterone etc...........) respond to the stimuli.Lets take an e.g. when one imagines about having intercourse or the mere sight of the reproductive organs of the opposite sex or as a matter of fact anything that can arouse him/her then before arousal, first our sexual hormones come into play which send the signals to the brain which responds by arousing us and getting us propped up for further play

Our brains..because even if you weren't looking at it, you could imagine it in your mind with your eyes closed..sending the pictures to the other parts for the stimulus

Both. I think we were made that way so that we can 'go forth and multiply" as instructed by God himself. But there is bound to be a scientific explanation.

men are visual and women are emotional. With that said, if men see something their eyes see it, the blood goes rushing to their penis and boom..it gets hard.
women feel it...heart starts beating..they get all emotional and tingly and blood starts to rush..and tingle tingle..we are ready for loving!
