If anyone were to be appointed president, we would not get out of any mess. We are in the political mess we are in at present because someone was, for all intents and purposes, appointed president. A democracy elects presidents; any appointed president would defeat democracy by accepting the office.
Jesus no longer lives on earth in the flesh. If he were here, and were appointed president, he would decline the role. Jesus was not a meager politician.
