Yes and yes but conditionally. I have learned it is best to never compliment anyone more than my girlfriend. I might say the friend's date looks great only after telling my gf she looks stunning.

Hug an acquaintance? No. Hug a good friend? Maybe, but it's unlikely, in any case a simple hug doesn't mean there's something going on. Tell a friend's date that she's beautiful? No.
For all of the questions, the answer does not depend on whether my gf is actually present.

Maybe hugging an acquaintance is fine...but it's kind of weird that he would tell her she's beautiful in front of you. Did he tell you that you looked nice too I hope? Because otherwise it sounds like he has a thing for his acquaintance.

yes, i would hug an acquaintance in front of my girlfrien but no, i would not tell the other woman that she was beautiful. i feel that would be inappropriate and disrespectful to my date. i would, however, state that the other woman was beautiful to my date that she was beautiful in private. but we have known each other for 20yrs and are way past the jealousy stage.

I hug all of my friends. I don't think I would have told my friend's date that she was beautiful while I was with a date of my own. That's just not a very thoughtful thing to do. I think I'd recommend telling your bf that you were not real comfortable with that.

The Hug - yes, but there are hugs and there are HUGS - make sure it looks like the kind girls give each other (make it quick and keep your hands off her rear)
The Comment - beautiful, no - wonderful, yes...beautiful should be reserved inanimate objects and the girlfriend.

Sure but you have to reassure your girl that she's the one for you. It's about trust anyway so for you to show affection for another woman in front of her shows her that you aren't trying to hide anything. You have to remember to return the complement back to your GF times two though.

That depends on how much we trust each other. But it would only be a friendly Kiss on the cheek or hug and just a nice complement

of course I would. As long as you are with someone, then why would you do anything differently when they are there than you would do when they aren't
