have you ever been or given a true unexpected punch in the gut when your or someone elses gut was completly soft and relaxed? when ,how old were you and them,why you were punched or why you punched them, and what was the physical reaction to the punch?

well my 7 yr old son did it to me not to long ago...I'm 28, yes my stomach was completely relaxed i wasn't expecting it at all...but im very muscular, so all it did was knock the wind out of me for a second. then i was fine, i had a bit of muscle pain the following morning though.

Sure, playing rugby (I played a year in college when I was 18.)

I was a prop and I tended to hurt people on a regular basis, and I guess it was just payback. I also got a lot of split lips. I expected rough-and-tumble bumps and lumps, but I got a few punches I wasn't prepared for.

I was always totally hopped up on adrenaline and I usually didn't notice the pain much until later. I once got punched in the mouth and had to be told that my lip was bleeding (I had to go to the sideline because you can't bleed in a game. Well, you can't bleed *on* people--you can bleed internally all you want.)

My reaction was usually, "oof." I'd catch my breath, walk it off a little bit, and keep going. Rugby was...fun? Is that the word? Rewarding, I guess. That would be more accurate. It was a stupid thing to do and my ribs hurt to this day from all the cracks I got while playing.

But I've never been in a street fight, if that's what you're asking. Just on the field.

I'm not giving you the whole story but it knocks the wind out of you. You have to double over to catch your breath. It doesn't hurt in a hurting way. (Did that make sense?) It hurts cuz you can't breathe.
