This is cool , believe it or not I use to work for Petsafe. Yes there fences work but you have to take time to train your dog. You can't just put down the fence and expect your dog to know why he/she is getting the shock. So if you will take time to train your dog the fence is great.

I would read a little bit on it, if it is not a high enough quality when the dog runs through it it may only shock him real quick and that is it, they will still run through it if that is the case because they know it will only hurt for a sec., but if you find that will shock him more than once, once he leaves the area that will be a good one, and don't worry it doesn't really hurt the dog abusively or anything, it is just enough to get his attention.
