although I have heard of people doing that, I would not recommend it. I do not think it is a safe way nor a permanent way. To lose weight, you need to increase your body movement while decrease the food intake. Laxatives is a quick remedy that can only end up hurting you.

You don't lose weight by laxatives--maybe a little water from your intestines, but no calories or fat.

By the time food gets to where the laxatives work, you've already digested all the nutrients. All the protein, all the fat, all the carbs. Laxatives just speed up the last little part of the process. It moves the food out of the intestines before they get a chance to reabsorb the water that your body used in the digestive process.

No weight loss with laxatives. There's no right way to do it. Besides, it can cause dehydration and dependence, as well as heart arrhythmia because you have messed-up electrolyte levels from all the water being forced out of your body (along with electrolytes.)

Eat right and exercise. There's no quick fix. Laxatives are a particularly dangerous way to "lose weight"--you'll have a little less water in you, but you'll be just as fat as before! Don't do it!

I would like to try it to, but I don't want a sore butt. It would suck to be stuck on the toilet all day with a red bunghole.
