Would someone more rational have tried to find other means of keeping Americans safe? When the less religious Europeans tried to discourage us, was it Christianity that led us to ignore their advice?

I think there is some truth to that.

Some of the locals here in Utah have refered to it as a "righteous" war. Scary stuff.

And also to clear his dad's name.

I wasn't aware that Christians are in control. The "less religious Europeans" who opposed the war on terror were Germany and France, both of whom have supplied weapons to the terrorist. German, French, and Soviet weapons have been found in Iraq and Afghanistan. I would assert that their objections had more to do with their economies than with their religious beliefs.

It is not plausible that oil was the object of war in Iraq. Initial analysis of the repurcusions of the war showed that Iraq's oil fields were badly raped and in dire need of repair before the war began. The United States was aware of this. It was also presumed that Hussein's army would target those fields first should the war go against them... which they did and insurgents still do. Iraq is in poverty right now and oil fields at less than 39% of post-war production. When the oil fields resume at pre-war capacity, the United States will pay the rate set by those who determine oil production throughout the Mideast... that would not be the US. How anyone could think that the US will profit from the oil in Iraq is beyond me. The US does not and will not own Iraq. They will pay the same rate for oil there as for oil from any other country just like any other country buying oil from Iraq.

Well, I made quite a few observations before the war and it was quite apparent that religion was a major factor.. People hold strong onto their beliefs when they are scared, and America was in a frenzy. Religion was a major topic by most people, including Bush which claims to have talked to God about going to war.

People will outright lie and say religion had no factor.. That is bs, and if they think about it they might realize it's value for what it is. The US took advantage of the religious..

Christians are in control????? lololololol. If the Christians were in control of this country, and I mean REAL CHRISTIANS, there wouldn't be abortion, state schools, the IRS would be dust, and the jails would have very few criminals in it because we would let God be in control.
