The Vatican is deciding whether or not to change the truth, again.

If they decide to go ahead, would it be one these miracle thingies or just contemptable and arrogant establishmentarianism?

The Vatican will be weighing up the monetary consequences of this decision as we speak. What will be most profitable?
Keep in mind that the concept was designed to get people into the religion as soon as possible

All we can do is change we we call the truth. Men have done that throughout the ages. When the truth inconveniences us then we simply change the truth. It has gotten to the point where now the common politically correct view point is that as long as you are trying to do right everything is gonna be alright with God.

That is just man deciding we don't like what God thinks. To know the truth we must put aside what I think and what you think and return to what God thinks. That means 1) Read scripture 2) Accept it as written whether I like it or not 3) submit myself to His will.

I don't believe that anyway. Babies who are not baptized or children if they die, do NOT stay in 'limbo'. If a child has not yet reached the age of accountability they go to heaven. Think about it, it is up to the parents if they want to baptize their babies and what they teach their children and if the child gets baptized, not the fault of the child. Why punish the child. Plus, it doesn't matter if someone is baptized or not. That is JUST A SYMBOL. What matters is if the person has accepted Jesus as their Savior or not. AND...it all goes back to the age of accountability.

P.S. I am baptist.

P.P.S. You cannot change the truth, the truth is clearly written in the bible.

They wouldn't be changing the 'truth' at all. They'd be changing official church doctrine. It's not the same thing. Yes, their arrogance is astonishing, but what's MORE astonishing is that believers will just change their entire belief system about this issue simply because a group of cardinals sat down and decided it should be changed. If that doesn't point out how utterly arbitrary religious belief is, I suppose nothing will.

I like this scripture, it kinda spells it out plain as can be for me.

D&C 1:39 For behold, and lo, the Lord is God, and the Spirit beareth record, and the record is true, and the truth abideth forever and ever. Amen.

If you want to know for yourself whether something is true, ask God with a sincere heart, believing you will get an answer, and he will tell you. (James 1:5 or somewhere around there)

You cannot Change GOD (Truth).
But GOD can Change the Way HE does things example: GOD changed from the Old Testament (Contract with Mankind for Salvation) to the New Testament (Contract with Mankind for Salvation) when Jesus Died on the Cross.
Any body can get Saved now.

Yeah well, major corporations will do anything to keep their customers. They make money that way. And this one, in particular, is losing more and more members to Paganism so it's worried.

You know, that's a funny article, because limbo was originally invented to assure women that their stillborn children weren't going straight to Hell. (It wasn't Irenaeus, it was the other guy around at the same time that Irenaeus didn't like...arrgh...what was his name?)
