Yes a 5 month old cat can be capable of getting a female pregnant. Some males reach sexual maturity as early as 4 months.

I would not rule it out. I have seen some very mature 5 month old kittens, especailly if the female is in heat.

Cats usually reach sexual maturity around 6 mos, so yes, it is possible that he got your cat pregnant
